Siam Paragon shopping center hosted their annual orchid festival past month, featuring beautiful orchids from not only Thailand but Japan, Korea, and many other countries. Orchids are my mom’s favorite flowers so I took her there on a Sunday.

I still don’t have a dedicated macro lens and I was trying to carry as light as possible, so I only took the 35mm F/2 lens. This was an indoor event, and I tried my best to get some shots done handheld…

Her form – perfect. Her backswing – sweet! It was like watching poetry in motion. The kind of power she generated from her swing… was really something. You wouldn’t have expected that much power from a girly girl with a pink hat and ankle bracelets. Then again, may be you haven’t seen Paula Creamer play.

It was quite an experience for me to watch her play. I’m glad I took my camera to the tournament.

Carin blasts the ball out of the bunker

This is a first in a series of pics I will be posting. I had a chance to witness world’s greatest lady golfers compete for Honda LPGA Thailand 2009 trophy. It was a warm, tiring day but worth it. This picture of Carin Koch is taken at the 9th hole. Her second shot on this par 4 ended up in the bunker, but this fantastic shot landed less than 5 feet from the flag for a chance for par.
