It was my first time ever seeing a flamingo.  I’ve always thought they were pink – the ones I saw were more orange than pink…

    this is very beautiful – the orange really stands out against the grays in the background. i like how we can see the bones in the neck – i’ve never seen this before with a flamingo.

    Most of the ones I’ve seen have been this sort of salmon color pink.

    It’s the stuff in carrots that give them their color, I found from visit to Philadelphia Zoo with my son.
